Introducing - The BIRD Series
I started photographing birds just to keep my camera skills sharp in the off-season.
But what started as “just another sparrow” soon became a love for birding, connection, and learning each species’ story. Now, I share that passion through art.
Swamp Sparrow

Melospiza georgiana

A richly coloured sparrow with a chestnut cap, gray face, and dark-streaked back. It thrives in marshes and wet thickets, often staying hidden among cattails and reeds. Though shy and elusive, its clear, musical trill carries far across quiet wetlands.
Lincoln's Sparrow

Melospiza lincolnii

A shy, finely streaked sparrow with a warm buffy chest, the Lincoln’s Sparrow is known for its delicate appearance and soft, tinkling song—often heard before it’s seen.
Savannah Sparrow

Passerculus sandwichensis

A small, streaky songbird with a yellow eyebrow and a buzzy insect-like song. Though subtle in appearance, it’s one of the most widespread native sparrows in North America.
Harris Sparrow

Zonotrichia querula

Canada’s largest native sparrow, easily recognized by its bold black bib, pink bill, and crisp facial markings. This striking bird is both shy and special—it breeds exclusively in Canada, making it truly northern.
